Product Maintenance, Support, and Service Schedule

Definitions

• End of Maintenance: The End of Maintenance date is the end date when product updates, bug patches, workarounds or security risks will be issued. This date is calculated from the next product major release date + 12 months.
• End of Support: The End of Support date is the date when e-mail and telephone technical services provided by Black Duck, regarding the use and function of the Licensed Product, end for that product or product version. This date is calculated from the next product major release date + 18 months.
• End of Service: The End of Service date is the date when Black Duck SCA versions will cease to function and will be rejected by the Registration service and the hosted KB. Customers running in air-gap environments are unaffected but will not receive any product support or updates. This date is calculated by adding 30 months to the product release date.

• End of Support: The End of Support date is when a new major version is released and the penultimate major version support ends. E.g. Version 9.0.0 releases in September 2023, release 7.x.x will then be end of support in September 2023.
• End of Service date: The End of Service date is 6 months from the release date of a new major revision and the penultimate major version service period ends. E.g. Version 9.0.0 releases in September, release 7.x.x will then be end of service 6 months after, in March 2024.
