The following figure illustrates the high-level architecture and operation of the Coverity on Polaris Reporting Platform.
Black Duck analysis tools perform security analysis of various aspects of a web application or project. To enable the delivery and aggregation of the analysis results to Coverity on Polaris Reporting, administrators configure a reporting application for each analyzed application or project, and a reporting agent for each analysis tool.
The reporting agents periodically query the respective analysis tools for detected security issues, and deliver them to Coverity on Polaris Reporting Platform. These issues become immediately available to users in an interactive visual format and in detailed reports in PDF, CSV, or HTML formats.
