You can choose a version of Coverity for a project that is different from your
organization's default version. This is especially useful if your organization plans to
automatically upgrade to the latest version and you don't want to upgrade yet.
The following prerequisites apply:
- You must be a project administrator to change this setting.
- A central YAML file for the project must exist before you can set a default version of Coverity.
- The Coverity version you want to use must be supported on Coverity on Polaris. You won't be able to specify a version as your default if it is not currently supported, and if support ends you will have to specify a new version.
If your organization has chosen a different version of Coverity from the one you want to use – or if it always uses the latest version of Coverity – you can still choose a different version for your project. Use the following steps.
- Navigate to Projects > Settings > Analysis
- Find the pulldown menu that shows the Coverity version for your project. (If you haven't changed the setting, it will show the version specified in the central YAML file.)
- Change the setting to the version number that you want to use for the project.
- Click Set Version.
