Here's how to choose the Jira instance and project that will be linked to your Polaris project.

Before members of your team can export issues to Jira, your Polaris project must be associated with a Jira instance and with a single Jira project within that instance. Your organization administrator can add as many as 25 Jira instances, and each of those might have numerous projects, but you must choose just one instance and one Jira project for your individual Polaris project.

  1. In the Polaris UI, go to Projects and select a project.
  2. Click Settings at the top of the window, and then select Integrations from the left-hand menu.
  3. Use the Jira Instance pull-down menu to select a Jira instance.
All the Jira instances configured by organization administrators are visible in the pull-down menu.
  4. Then use the Jira Project text box to select a project. (It will offer choices after you start to type.)
  5. Use the Jira Project Issue Types pulldown menu to select an issue type.

All issues exported to Jira will have the type chosen here.

  6. Click Save

This sets the Jira instance and project that issues will be exported to. Users can edit these settings, as long as they have admin access to the Polaris project .
