It is highly recommended for customers to increase security by setting up an IP allow
list.
- The customer provide their IP ranges.
- Black Duck will configure the gateway to reject access from IPs not in that range.
It is an easy security measure to implement to protect from unknown intrusions and by using it, along with SSO (see Understanding SAML Integration), you can improve your security.
Follow these steps to create an allow list:

Open an SFDC ticket.
- The allow list must use CIDR notation and can include one IP address or a range of IP addresses.
