The default version will be inherited by all projects in the organization that have specified "default" or "latest" version. When running the analysis for those projects, Coverity on Polaris CLI selects the default version of Coverity.
If the organization admin doesn't choose a default version, the default will be the latest version of Coverity available. A project admin can still select a different version of Coverity analysis engine for a specific project.
The Coverity version specified for the organization or project must be supported on Coverity on Polaris. You won't be able to specify a version as your default if it is not currently supported, and if support ends you will have to specify a new version.
- Navigate to: My organization > Tools > Default Tool Version for All New Projects
- Choose a version from the dropdown menu, under Default Tool Version for All New Projects
- Click Set Default
