How to accept your invitation to Black Duck Portal and set up multi-factor authentication and access Black Duck Portal with your local credentials.
Note: These steps only apply to local user accounts.
- Open the welcome email from no-reply@blackduck.com.
- Select Set Password.
- Set your password and select Reset Password.
Note: Passwords must contain at least 12 characters, with at least 3 of the following:
- Lower case letters (a-z)
- Upper case letters (A-Z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- Special characters (for example, !@#$%^&*)
- Go to https://portal.blackduck.com/ and sign in.
The first time you sign in to Black Duck Portal with your local user account, you're prompted to set up multi-factor authentication.
- Select a multi-factor authentication method and follow the instructions on screen.
Important: You must set up MFA before you can access Black Duck Portal. MFA is required at every subsequent sign-in.
Portal supports the following MFA methods:
- Notification via Auth0 Guardian app
- Google Authenticator or similar
- Security Key
