Recommended steps
- Set up the SSO connection between Black Duck Portal and your IdP.
- Add users and control their permissions through Users management.
- Interact with secure API endpoints hosted in Black Duck Software, Inc. products and tools, without exposing user credentials or maintaining long-lived API keys by using Service accounts.

Portal Navigation
The first tab on the left menu is the Applications tab, where the user is able to see their active applications. An Application is a tool or a product that a customer get access to after the fulfilment process. The second tab refers to Service Accounts, which are the identities that allow services and applications to authenticate with Black Duck Portal. Lastly, the third tab refers to Org Admin where the user is able to manage users.
