Reset a local user's MFA

Black Duck Portal documentation

How to reset a local user's multi-factor authentication (MFA) configuration.

Note: Only Organization Admins can reset a local user's MFA settings.
  1. In Black Duck Portal, go to Org Admin > Users.
  2. Locate the local user whose MFA you want to reset.
Tip: Use the Search Users... field to search by first name, last name, or email address.
  3. Select the options icon in the user's row, and then select Reset MFA.
    A Reset MFA notification appears.
  4. Select Reset MFA.
The next time the user signs into Black Duck Portal, they will be prompted to reconfigure MFA. They can continue using the MFA method they configured previously, or they can select a new one.
Portal supports the following MFA methods:
  • Notification via Auth0 Guardian app
  • Google Authenticator or similar
  • Security Key
